As you step onboard, you are greeted by the original and Chris-Craft authentic boarding steps laid atop the varnished Fijian Mahogany decks, before you nestle down into the smooth leather cockpits, featuring the original builders plate and build coin, presented on delivery in 1951, recessed into the curved wooden dashboard amid the Chris-Craft tachometers. As the carbureted Chevrolet 351 V8 roars into life, your pace is determined by the restored original throttle lever as you look across the curved bow, reaching speeds in excess of 40 knots, the true top speed remains for you to discover, as the current owner has never given full power. The re-positioned fuel tank now lays forward of the helm for better weight distribution and handling, however, the original fuel filler caps are left in place at the stern but are welded closed, with the new functional cap disguised inside the original bow locker vent. The vessel sits on a perfectly tailored trailer for easy stowage and transport.
